Job title: Senior Air Freight Customer Service AgentReports to: Branch ManagerBased at Manchester AirportOverview:This is an office-based position, responsible for service delivery to the local customer base for handling additional, more complex tasks as delegated.Main accountabilities include:- Answer incoming enquiries from the local customer base- Make bookings onto the companies system.- Monitor and correct any irregularities found- Provide quotations cross referencing any relevant products and offering the most appropriate product to the client.- Respond to delegated tasks, such as accounts, pallet planning, airline purchasing, sales activities.- Securing business and maximising profits.- Issue documentation as required: MAWB/HAWB/HMC & Security documentation/invoices.- Assist with operational issues; liaising with warehouse, and other internal/external departments as required- Respond to customer complaints according to company policy in a professional manner at all times. Referring any written complaints to Supervisor level or above.- Complete daily/weekly/monthly audits as required and in a timely and accurate manner.- Assist with training new and inexperienced staff.- Any other reasonable tasks as delegated.Qualifications and Experience:- Good customer service skills ideally within an airfreight export environment- Good operation and product knowledge- Good time management & prioritisation skills essential- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team- Able to demonstrate attention to detail- Good Interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.- Must be proactive and forward thinking- MS office skills - Word, Excel would be advantageous- Level CO security certificate desirable (training will be provided)
