Job Description

Air Freight Operations - International Freight ForwardingDo you have 2+ years experience in the Air Freight industry Have you worked with MAWBs/HAWBs Are you looking to grow and progress in the Freight Forwarding industryCurrently hiring for a role in Airfreight Operations for a major UK based organization that is a leader in freight-forwarding and logistics. The Company has over 75 years of proven performance, with their headquarters strategically located in Manchester.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Speaking to customers/agents on a daily basis.
  • Receiving quotation enquiries for Air import and export.
  • Answering Overseas agent e-mails.
  • Dealing directly with Airlines to procure best rates
  • Quotations to customer through internal systems
  • Following up of customer quotations for feedback.
  • Booking of airfreight consignments with the carriers - import and export
  • Invoicing - sales and purchases.
Requirements
  • 2+ years experience in Air Freight industry
  • Must be able to complete/understand intricacies of Airfreight, MAWBs, HAWBs etc.
  • Experience of DG by Air preferred, but not essential
  • General knowledge of Air ratios for quotation purposes
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft office
  • Being able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
