Job Description

This provides clients with faster access to new IT applications and innovative business models, while alsoreducing risk.They are looking for 2-3 Delivery Leads to join the team and help build our rapidly expanding business. National travel may be required, possibly with occasional international travel. They have offices in 15 countries and an international staff numberingaround 7,000+.As a Agile Delivery Lead you will work closely with their clients, and award winning software development teams who are often based in delivery centres in countries such as Spain, Poland and Brazil.The Agile Delivery Lead role can be considered to incorporate traditional programme / project management elements, along with agile frameworks. Depending on level of experience and size of engagement, the role may also incorporate the scrum master role.They are flexible with project management methods and agile frameworks, depending on whats best for their clients and the specifics of the engagement.Key CapabilitiesThis role will carry out some or all of the following activities:

  • Engages with senior business stakeholders, senior technology stakeholders, project and programme managers as well as product owners
  • Facilitates the team to self-organise, enabling continuous improvement of change and run activities, aligned to the product roadmap and customer expectations
  • Responsible for the coaching and leadership responsibilities that enable agile delivery, including facilitating team meetings such as retrospectives, reviews and planning events.
  • Works within most critical and complex technology projects - likely to span across multiple business units and / or geographies
  • Identifies and removes or mitigates obstacles blocking the teams progress
  • Shields the team from unnecessary interruptions
  • Ensures best practice agile and DevOps adoption
  • Establishes an ethos of continuous improvement within teams
  • Assures delivery through the entire life-cycle of the project of user requirements through to working software in the hands of users
  • Provides expertise in agile engineering practices (eg Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Supports and guides the Product Owner to create / evolve product roadmap, creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog
  • Drives the agile team performance and outcome metrics as required
Technical SkillsMust have:
  • Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience of the end to end software development lifecycle
  • Experience of modern software frameworks and solutions; DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud
Preferable:
  • Consulting experience
  • Experience using and applying lean principles of software development
  • Agile at Scale methodologies such as SAFe, Spotify, LeSS, Scrum at Scale
  • Agile management tooling such as JIRA
