The Company Overview:Butler rose are partnered with a fast-paced, PE backed Group of Advisory firms who have aggressive growth plans due to extensive funding received. They now have a newly created position for a hands-on Acquisitions Accountant to focus on the accounting fora high amount of upcoming acquisitions.The current team have all recently joined the business, so this is a great opportunity to really shape the future of this company and go on a huge & exciting expansion journey with them. They are a large organisation yet they have still retained the feelof an SME.Hybrid working is on offer.Your new role as Acquisitions Accountant:Your duties will include:Acquisitions Accounting for a high volume of acquisitionsConsolidations including running month end consolidation processPreparing for Group Year End Audit and acting as one of the main points of contact for Auditors / Advisors.Consolidated Statutory AccountsMonthly Management AccountsTechnical working papersRegular interaction with a large range of internal and external Stakeholders including Financial Controllers & DirectorsRegular team meetings and communication with other team membersRolling out & developing Group Accounting policies to member firms. Assist firms in the Group to implement these and monitor compliance with new accounting policies and procedures.Assisting in managing Group Balance SheetThe Experience & Qualifications Required:The successful Candidate shall be/have:Qualified Accountant, preferably ACA but also open to ACCA & CIMAAcquisitions Accounting experienceConsolidation experience, particularly a full understanding of the process around integration of new acquisitions into the Group, amending the Consolidation process accordingly & understanding the impact on the consolidationComfortable with picking up a wide variety of new systems easilyStrong Technical Accounting skills including Statutory AccountingUp to date knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS & UK GAAPA mixed Practice & Industry background would be ideal however my Client will consider Managers from Big 4 / Top 10 Accounting firms who are looking to make their first move into Industry. Theyll also look at candidates whove not worked in Practice andgained the relevant Acquisitions Accounting experience in Industry.Xero & Board Consolidation software experience would be a big advantage but not essentialAssertive personality.
