Job Description

The RoleThe desired candidate will work as part of a commercial team, existing customers within these market sectors are shared with the successful candidate, along with an annual sales target. Our company mantra is best person for the job, which ensures we canput the right salesperson in front of each of the different customer/market/location personas.The candidate will form an integral part of a small, however, well-established team, concentrating on existing accounts and new business opportunities within the North West and Midlands Regions. Enhancement of existing business relationships and new businessdevelopment will be required. Novus have strong support from our parent company CAE, our key vendors and a well-established Corporate, NHS & Local Government customer base and presence within these areas of the country, in order to help achieve our businessgrowth targets.The primary role focus will be to create a vertical plan and execute this in conjunction with the Novus Head of Commercial Services. This role requires a high performer with a proven track record and strong network of relationships, previous experience ofworking within these verticals and a clear understanding of customers needs and challenges is of great importance. CAE/Novus have well established solution propositions for each of these markets and will fully support you in taking them to market.Our recent business development and support from our parent company CAE, who have risen from Ciscos 19th largest partner in the UK to their 2nd largest partner in three years, has been proven that together, we are a high performing team with a laser-likefocus upon customer intimacy.We hold ourselves accountable to non-negotiable and professional behaviours and standards, so you must also have a strong sense of self belief.What you will be doing Your main responsibilities will include;

  • To be conversant technically with our key vendors, and to continuously increase product knowledge, sales skills / techniques and develop a strong commercial acumen
  • To build on our existing customer base within the regions
  • A willingness and desire to undertake training as required
  • Creating, maintaining and regularly updating a Personal Development Plan with timescales on own self-learning areas and objectives
  • Creating and working in a collaborative and rewarding environment which portrays our company and team values
The above list is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.What is Needed
  • Good understanding and knowledge of MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and CRM - Solutions
  • Good written and spoken English. The ability to compose clear and effective communications.
  • Proven B2B sales experience and commercial awareness
  • Previous IT reseller and Industry experience,
  • and have experience of selling support and managed services into these markets.
  • Confident in communicating at executive level
  • Proven ability to control costs in line with project and budgetary expectations
  • Develop and deliver accurate sales forecasts in line with targets
  • Highly developed networking, customer relationship and interpersonal skills
  • Be confident in dealing with people at all levels in a professional manner
  • Be well organised and proactive
  • Persuade and influence the required internal and external stakeholders
  • Have knowledge of relevant procurement frameworks
  • Be self-motivated and use initiative in pursing and closing new business
  • Have integrity and display the core values of the company
