Job Description

Are you a sales focused individual that is looking for a new opportunity within Insurance If so and you are looking for a company that offers career progression into different areas i.e. Broking, Sales or even Underwriting then look no further.A Blue Chip Global Insurance Business has an opening for a motivated individual to come and join their growing sales team in the heart of Manchester. You will be focusing on specific insurance risks such as liability insurance, including professional indemnity,public liability and employers liability, covering the specific risks of a particular sector. You will be assisting commercial insurance needs of major businesses, SMEs, professionals and sole traders.Some Key duties/tasks include:

  • Making outbound calls to customers - dealing with quotes not yet purchased (no cold calling).
  • Re-engaging lapsed customers from previous years and renewal chasers with a view to converting these into business
  • Taking inbound calls from new and existing customers
  • Cross selling complementary products
  • Quoting, binding, renewing and taking payment for policies
  • Chasing outstanding renewals
  • Handling quote referrals as required within underwriting authority (new business and renewal)
  • Handling mid-term adjustments and issuing renewal invitations
We are looking to speak to individuals from either an insurance or customer service background that have experience of working to sales or retention targets and the ability to identify cross sell opportunities (however this is not mandatory).In return, you will receive a competitive salary & benefits as well as the potential of earning a £1000 bonus each month. A successful candidate with the right attributes and performance can also look forward to progression and development if they have ambitionsto do so.The role will be office based in Manchester City Centre.
