Transport Planner - Maltby, £25,000 We do Warehousing and Pallet Network business and we are looking to recruit a Transport Planner to work on our General Haulage fleet, based at our Head Office site, Maltby.You will join a busy transport team that provides excellent dedicated service to our customers ensuring routes are planned accurately and efficiently.The role will involve:-• Cost effective planning of vehicles to meet customer load plans• Informing drivers of their loads/collections• Daily communication with the booking team on new collections and deliveries• Monitoring and managing loads to ensure delivery schedules are met• Managing and ensuring adequate resource is available i.e drivers, vehicles, trailers• All legal requirements are met including drivers hours and tachograph requirements• Liaison with drivers and managing discipline• Full communication with other planners, de-briefers and management• Ensuring data that is input on our traffic management system, Truck Com is of an high standard and accurate• Building excellent relationship with customers• Working with other transport companies organising back loads Candidates will need to demonstrate the right attitude, willingness to learn and be able to provide excellent customer service. Have exceptional organisational skills, similar vehicle route planning experience within the logistics industry, ideally general haulage. Be able to work under pressure and hit deadlines. Have knowledge of driver’s hour’s regulations and WTD. An International CPC would be desirable. Required skills
