Job Description

We are delighted to be working with a successful owner operated business that has been previously recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses in Yorkshire. The Finance Director is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take full responsibility ofthe day to day running of the finance function including four members of staff.Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Monitoring the sales and purchase ledgers, working with the team to resolve issues
  • Production of monthly reports & schedules
  • Production of weekly flash reports
  • Working with the senior leadership team to seek out opportunities for commercial improvement
  • Supporting the Group Finance Director with any other month end procedures and management account tasks
  • Monitoring the VAT compliance and returns for all group companies
  • Help to develop the staff within the finance team
  • Assist in the annual audit along with other adhoc projects
An in-depth understanding and experience of working with SAGE would be a strong advantage. Excellent communication skills are imperative, together with good organisational skills and the ability to work towards tight deadlines. The candidate must have strongExcel skills and a demonstrable knowledge of VAT and PAYE.
