Job Description

You’ll be part of the SECOM Group who employs 53,000 people in nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. this role can be based in either Maidstone or Crawley or Kenley any of our 3 southern offices !!This exciting role will suit you if you are a confident individual who thrives working to targets, under your own initiative and as a key member in a friendly team environment.Ideally the successful candidate will have previous internal telesales experience, however we will give you full product training when you start and this will be continuous throughout your career as our technology evolves.Role and responsibilitiesSecom are embarking on a vigorous sales campaign and you will be responsible for dealing with inbound leads, providing quotations via DocuSign and generally advising enquiring customers of our Care Technology products, services and pricing. You will be responsible for converting leads to order to achieve monthly and annual sales targets through selling our range of technology enabled care/independent living products and services direct to clients together with gaining qualified sales appointments leading to solution sales by our team of UK-wide sales consultants.Build a strong and positive market place opinion of Secom Plc as a premium positioned quality solution provider through confident and assured telephone activity whilst maximising the technical and quality values associated with our brand.Success will be based on your strong interpersonal rapport with both potential customers and your field-based colleagues where trust, ethical selling and a never give up attitude will be encouraged and rewarded.Key activity areas

  • Take full responsibility for inbound sales enquiries generated by a range of company marketing initiatives, completing the entire sales process which will include compiling customer proposals and electronic documentation whilst updating our CRM system at each stage in order to effectively maintain a live and accurate record of each sales enquiry.
  • Work with our marketing department to follow up on campaigns to Introduce and promote Secom’s products to both new and existing customers and gain a pipeline of quality enquiries and appointments.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers through regular contact and seek the sale of further products, accessories and services.
  • Follow up designated marketing campaigns and exhibitions
  • Provide in-house Sales Support and your own prospecting activities via our in-house marketing campaigns.
  • Identify and book appointments via telephone and written communication for our sales consultants to sell products and systems and services with customers at key levels.
  • Communicate effectively the range of products showing a clear understanding of functions and features ensuring a solution sell’ is expected during the subsequent appointment.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, quotations and business opportunities using calendar, forecast and CRM tools as required.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports and sales forecasts as required.
  • Ensure prompt processing of all administrative needs engaging with in-house Sales Support and Customer Service Teams to build high quality internal working relationships.
  • Recommend and attend Seminars and Exhibitions as required
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Must have a demonstrable track record of either internal sales, telesales/telemarketing/tele-appointing
  • Must be able to work in an office team environment in our Maidstone office (there may be future opportunities to work from home some of the time).
  • Must be a competent user of MS office (Excel, Word) and email.
  • Can demonstrate a very high level of self-organisation and effective time management.
  • Have an empathetic and understanding customer approach whilst being target driven.
  • Will be educated to a minimum GCSE level in Mathematics and English.
  • Previous knowledge of Salesforce CRM desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
