Job Description

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, both verbally and written, and have the ability to identify andachieve excellent service versus cost opportunities. The capability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines is required to ensure that success is achieved whilst being able to create and maintain clear, concise, and organised records.Responsibilities

  • To analyse product trends and sales history to accurately forecast potential purchase orders
  • To raise accurate purchase orders based on immediate shortfall and from Product Team Manager plans
  • To oversee, by constant checking and liaising, that all goods are delivered accurately and on time as specified via the most cost-effective method
  • To highlight and communicate, as necessary, issues caused by delivery delays
  • To optimise the use of slow-moving stock
  • To assist in dealing with customs documentation and shipping quantities
  • To assist in generating non-conformance reports on suppliers performance issues and oversee the accurate non-conformance registering of the whole department
  • To gain a thorough understanding of the products and suppliers and their usage through training and experience
  • To negotiate best price versus service for inbound freight and suppliers
  • Work with the Technical and Production Teams to detail Bills of Material and Work Instructions as necessary and create new stock codes
  • To confidently work with all departments to ensure high product quality
  • To cover other team members during department absence, busy periods or as required
  • To advise the Product Team Manager of any ideas for improvement of processes and information on supply trends
  • To carry out any reasonable instructions given by management for the benefit of the Company

  • Will be a strong negotiator and excellent relationship builder

  • Will have previous experience working with Microsoft Excel and ERP software
  • Shall be computer literate
  • Will demonstrate a methodical and flexible approach
