Your New roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Programme Delivery Manager to join our team in to join our team in one of our offices in Maidstone, Basingstoke or Guildford. Within this role, you will lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects within the Regionsin-year capital programme, in line with specified outcomes, customer experience, quality, budgets, timescales, and operational key performance indicators.The role has line management responsibility.What youll be leading onThe delivery of a portfolio of projects within the Regions in-year capital programme, from detailed design to introduction into service and actively lead in the development and creation of the following years detailed delivery programme for own area ofresponsibility and proactively contribute to the development of the regions forward programme and business plans.Provide direction and line management for a team of Project Managers, ensuring timely setting of objectives, performance management reviews and development of appropriate succession and development plans.Ensuring that all projects in scope are delivered within agreed parameters for quality, cost and time, ensuring they meet intended outcomes, customer service levels, quality and health and safety standards.Taking lead with the management and reporting against the capital expenditure budgets for all projects in scope, ensuring effective financial practices are in place and adhered to by all project resources.Ensuring best practice customer communications and engagement approaches are developed and embedded in the project teams ways of working, to continuously manage the customer perception of the schemes in scope, and maintain or improve customer satisfactionscores.Developing effective and collaborative relationships with the internal and external supplier community through clear and shared vision, outcomes, critical success factors and performance measures on all capital programmes in scope.Ensuring the health and safety needs and wellbeing of customers, employees and all parties involved in projects, are fully considered and accounted for throughout the planning and delivery of each service activity.To be SuccessfulProven programme and project management experience and related qualifications (e.g. MSP, Prince2) - desirableRecognised qualification in relevant engineering discipline or extensive experience in delivery of civil engineering projects and programmes (essential)Up to date knowledge and understanding of CDM and health and safety regulationsKnowledge of Highways Construction & Maintenance practicesSupplier and contract managementStakeholder managementPeople managementA bit about usMaking sure our customers have safe and reliable journeys is at the heart of everything we do in Operations.
