Graduate Trainee International TraderLocation: MaidstoneSalary: £20k - £25kVR/02875RWe are recruiting for a fast-growing fruit distribution business in their search for a Graduate Trainee / International Trader to work from their office based just outside Maidstone. This role may particularly suit a recent Business Graduate but more importantly we are looking for someone with lots of energy and drive, highly organized with the ability to multi task. The fresh produce industry is constantly on the go and can at times be very demanding, it is however equally as rewarding incorporating skills in Customer Services, Problem solving and coordination.This innovative and exciting business has enjoyed excellent growth in 2020 and they are looking for Graduate Trainee / International Trader to join their team. A really varied and interesting role, this would be the ideal for someone who is self-motivated, energetic with lots of ideas and will enjoy working closely with the key management team. The company imports and exports fruit to France, Spain, South America, Asia and Russia. Any additional language skills particularly French and/or Spanish would be very advantageous, although not essential. We would be looking for candidates whose first language is English. Any exposure to working within a distribution organisation would be a distinct advantage. This is great opportunity to be involved directly with senior management, with day to day tasks that contribute to managing the key customer accounts. Covering functions such as coordinating transport, communications with Growers, compiling spreadsheets of arrivals and coordination of projects. You will need to be prepared to be hands on and communicate well with different divisions. Requirements:· Degree level or equivalent in Business Studies or similar· Resilient· Commercially astute· Excellent Excel skills· Mathematically minded· Organised and methodical with the ability to multi task and ability to react to change quickly· Ability to anticipate potential problems· Confident communicator, ability to converse and maintain relationships at all levels· Positive and proactive personality · Reliable and flexible attitudeDesirable but not essential· Skills in French and / or Spanish· Experience within the fresh produce industry· Experience in similar roleExperience of BRC, HACCP, SEDEX, Food safety etc would be appealing Required skills
