Our healthcare client based in Maidstone, Kent, is currently hiring for a DomesticCleaner to join their team on a temporary basis. Job Title: Domestic CleanerSector: HealthcareJob Type: TemporaryDuration: Expected to last for 12 weeks, however, potentially may be longer depending on the needs of our clients serviceLocation: Maidstone, KentWorking days and hours: Monday to Fridays, 4pm - 7pmHourly Pay Rate: £10 PAYE Inclusive of holiday payDuties:

• You will work as part of our clients domestic/housekeeping team and will be responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of our clients healthcare setting
• You will carry out general and deep cleaning duties as required, ensuring communal and individual rooms, are presentable and cleaned to a high standard

• This will include vacuuming floors; sweeping, mopping floors; high and low dusting; wiping over and polishing (where applicable) both vertical and horizontal surfaces, i.e., mirrors, chairs, bed frames, bins, sani-bins
• You will assist with restocking consumables such as toilet tissue, handtowels, soap; descaling taps; and bins and replacing bin liners.
• You must be aware of the important part you play in maintaining the environment to an excellent standard.
• You must also be aware that your work will involve working alongside patients and occasionally interacting with them as you carry out your duties outlined below.

• You will remain professional when on duty and be able to work well independently as well as within a team
• You will follow procedures to help control infection
• You will ensure your working environment is cleaned in line with national cleaning standards and in line with our clients policies and procedures
• You will report any maintenance issues to your supervisor/manager
• You will also maintain stock levels of cleaning products

Required Skills/Experience:

• Prior cleaning/housekeeping/equivalent experience with the willingness to carry out cleaning duties within a Healthcare Clinic based in Maidstone
• Ability to work in a team, as well as independently
• Ability to remain organised and show attention to detail in work carried out
• COSHH and Infection control knowledge (highly desirable)
• Hold a third-party valid in date clean enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or a current valid in-date DBS, registered with the update Service (with photographic evidence of this) or be willing to apply for a recent DBS via Your World Healthcare
• Willingess to fully register with Your World Healthcare (Please note: This is required to successfully commence employment with our NHS client)

Requirements:To commence employment as a Domestic Cleaner via Your World Healthcare, if successful; you must be fully registered and compliant via Your World Healthcare in the first instance. To become compliant, you will need to:

• Complete full work registration via Your World Healthcare (prior to commencing employment)
• Apply for a valid in date enhanced DBS via Your World Healthcare, if you not yet hold a current enhanced DBS certificate (issued within the last 12 months) or a current in date DBS registered on the update service (Please note: A new enhanced DBS will needto be applied for via Your World Healthcare as part of the registration process prior to commencing employment if you do not already hold this)
• Provide a minimum of 2x professional employment/educational references covering the last 3 years.
• Complete mandatory online training modules via Your World Healthcare (if required by our client) - This will be set up for you to complete as part of your registration process to become fully compliant
