Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has an exciting new opportunity for a Consultant Radiographer to join the Breast Units Multi-disciplinary team.The Maidstone Peggy Wood Breast Unit provides screening services to women as part of the National Breast Screening Programme, inviting in the region of 26,000 women per year; covering the Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Cranbrook and Edenbridge areas. There is also a busy symptomatic service which is based at both the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital Sites. We diagnose approximately 650 cancers a year and offer a wide range of diagnostic services, including breast tomosynthesis and Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography. We have both upright and prone table equipment for stereotactic and Tomosynthesis guided vacuum assisted breast biopsies and excisions (and receive outside referrals from other NHS Trusts and the private sector). Our ultrasound rooms are equipped with GE Logiq E9 machines.
