Job Description As the Associate Data Product Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Data Delivery and will be supporting the Product and Delivery teams incontributing to improvements to the Rank data platform.Youll collate stakeholder feedback, quantitative and qualitative metrics as well ashelp to formulate, influence and deliver the product development road map for Data.ResponsibilitiesDiscovery and Planning

  • Identifying business process issues and opportunities to use data to solve these.
  • Conducting stakeholder research and organising workshops and demos.
  • Working with developers to define requirements and stories.
  • Preparation of user stories for the backlog, with the support of the business and data analysts.
ResponsibilitiesPeople
  • Collecting feedback from users/stakeholders.
  • Working daily with other delivery team members and adjacent teams such as Analytics, CRM, commercial product teams and customer services.
  • Youll be working closely withdata engineers, data analysts, business analysts, data architects, testing, data support engineers, Data Governance, both onshore and offshore.
  • Reviewing documentation from data suppliers to understand data ingestion; collaborating with the business analysts, data engineers and the data architect to ingest, transform and store the data so it is usable for reporting and decision making.
  • Demonstrating innovative ideas and ways of thinking and encouraging debate within their team to contribute and discuss creative solutions.
ResponsibilitiesDelivery
  • Ability to use metrics to determine the success of Data deliverables.
  • Supporting more senior product managers with producing delivery progress reports and other documentation.
  • Learning to make data-driven decisions.
  • Managing small and focussed aspects of product development, supported by more senior colleagues.
  • Seeking to understand compliance, GDPR, security, data governance and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring safer gambling processes and guidelines are maintained and improved, using data to do so.
  • Assisting in organising demonstrations and walk-throughs for UAT.
  • Collating qualitative feedback from stakeholders after a period of usage.
Qualifications You will have/be:
  • A passion for defining and building data products.
  • Strong logical reasoning, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A demonstrable understanding of the role and responsibilities of product managers.
  • Proactive in learning, reacting well to feedback.
  • Software delivery or testing background, experience of software dev methodologies (eg agile/scrum, TDD), in order to talk technical with the engineering team.
  • Computing related degree an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Ability to think through solutions logically and see how alternative solutions impact the quality and impact of the final deliverable.
  • Ability to manage multiple threads of work and prioritise workload.
  • Able to explain technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Able to plan ways to adapt to challenges that inevitably arise during delivery.
