Job Description

Analytics & insights lead, global biopharma company London/M4 corridor, neurology, rare disease, oncology, global Your new companyOne of the most exciting biopharmaceutical companies in the UK with a reputation for excellence and innovation are growing their insights & analytics team to help support multiple upcoming drug launches. The company has been putting a major emphasis on utilisingnew approaches and technologies and are keen to continue developing in this area, giving you plenty of scope to introduce new ways of doing things and find creative solutions to business problems/questions.Working as part of a diverse team, youll be driving insights and strategy across the business.Your new roleYou will be joining an established team to analyse the UK performance of multiple assets in the companys portfolio, developing strategies and delivering these to senior management, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors / systems providers.This is a permanent position, with a mix of office and home-based working.Main duties will include:

  • Being the primary point of contact for analytics and insights for apotential product launch, as well as supporting across multiple other assets within the oncology/wider portfolio;
  • Carrying out primary and/or secondary research and market intelligence & analytics work on products;
  • Managing and helping shape market research projects to gather product / marketplace information and managing the external vendors carrying these out;
  • Evaluating key market place trends, in order to identify business opportunities;
  • Working with internal IT to implement / update dashboards, etc for the dissemination of data to affiliate countries;
  • Generating insights from data analysis, eg BI / market research projects or other secondary data, to assess aspects such as patient populations, overlap versus competitor brands, etc;
  • Assessing and bringing in new data sources, eg forecasts, broker reports, asset intelligence, scientific papers;
  • Developing and delivering recommendations on strategy, as well as Business Intelligence plans;
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across the business, such as RWE, medical and patient facing groups;
  • Dealing with third party vendors and external collaborators, eg commercial groups / academia; and
  • Leading and overseeing projects, ensuring effective timeline management.
What youll need to succeedAs well as excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills, you should have:
  • An extensive track record within pharmaceutical market research, competitive / business intelligence, analytics, or forecasting roles, either in-house or for a consultancy;
  • Experience of working on projects across the European, or UK pharmaceutical / healthcare market;
  • Project management experience, including setting and managing timelines and milestones, for insights, analytics or market research projects;
  • Experience distilling insights out of data and turning these into actionable strategy points;
  • Strong forecasting/modelling knowledge
  • Excellent people skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence decisions;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • A technical, business or scientific background, eg BSc, MSc or equivalent experience
