Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a MALE ONLY Support Workers who have a full UK driving licence as there will be travelling required. You will be contracted to 36 hours per week but work 12 hour shifts over 3 days plus 1 sleep.What are we looking forAs a Support Worker, you will be key in supporting an adults complex needs within their own home and within the community. We are looking for positive, compassionate, and caring male Support Workers who have the right values and attitude to grow and developwith Gray Healthcare.We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience as a Support Worker within Autism, Learning Disabilities, ABI. You will also possess an NVQ or QCF 3 or willingness to complete the qualification with Gray Healthcare.You will have a proven track record in this highly rewarding field, with the skills to deal with multiple and complex needs of people. You will be able to manage difficult situations calmly and are able to work within prescribed interventions that provideTrauma Informed approaches.You will need to be resilient, emotionally, and physically fit to do this role. As well as being able to work flexibly on a rota basis which will include earlies, lates, sleep ins, weekends, and bank holidays.Who will you support (1-2-1 care package)We have three gentlemen in L27 and L15 of Liverpool. Please see a statement from each of them below:

  • I am a 52 year old gentleman with an ABI, Autism and Learning Disabilities. I live in my own bungalow and I am looking for male Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life. Watching football is my passion and I go to all the matches inmy mobility car on a weekend. I am also well known in the local community and enjoy going for walks and to the local shops.
  • I am a 45 year old gentleman with Autism and Learning Disabilities. I live in my own home and I am looking for male Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life. I love planes and trains and enjoy trips out to the airport / train stationsin my mobility car. I am also well known in the local community and I like to go out for meals to restaurants.
  • I am a 52 year old gentleman with Autism and Learning Disabilities. I live in my own home and I am looking for male Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life. I love all the holiday seasons and enjoy the build up to them where I canshop for presents for my family / decorations for my house. I am well known in the local community and enjoy going out in my mobility car to the shops and cafes. I also have a family caravan in Blackpool that I enjoy visiting regularly.
We all will need your support to help keep us safe and empower us to work towards my goals. I would like to be supported by people who are person centred in their approaches, who are also motivating, patient and non-judgemental so I can achieve maximum independence.What are the rewards
