We welcome boys and girls aged 3 - 18 into our dynamic, stimulatingand happy co-education learning environment.Role:We are seeking to appoint suitably qualified Wrap Around Care Assistants to work in a flexible role across the Division, supporting pupils at lunchtimes, during break times, After-School Club and Holiday Club. In this role there will also be a responsibilityfor light housekeeping, ensuring that the areas are clean and tidy for pupils throughout the school day. The positions are available immediately and involve working five days a week across the year from 11.30 am to 6.00 pm, with two 30-minute unpaid breaks.When the school is not operational, you will be involved in the Holiday Club, Kings Cubs, however, your hours of work may be varied to suit the needs of the club, and will likely be in within the core hours of the club which is 8:00am - 6:00pm. Furtherinformation will be discussed at the interview.Responsibilities:

• To work as part of the Infant and Junior staff team to provide safe, high-quality care for children
• To work under the direction of the Principal and the Vice-Principal of the Infant and Junior Division and members of the Infant and Junior Management Team
• To give support to other personnel within the setting
• To engage and motivate pupils to participate
• To support pupils with learning difficulties or disabilities in order that they can access the wrap-around care safely and inclusively
• To assist in the setting up and clearing away of all activities and indoor/outdoor equipment
• To assist in ensuring that specialist and communal learning areas are kept clean and tidy
• To carry out duties in line with the Intimate Care Procedure and Guidance and assist with domestic or other duties as specified by staff
• To assist with the supervision of children to ensure the childrens safety and well-being at all times
• To have a working knowledge of Kings Safeguarding Policy, Procedure and Guidance and Keeping Children Safe in Education
• To support school outings and school events
• To undertake various tasks as appropriate to the needs of the children and the wider organisation directed by the Vice-Principal (Infant and Junior Division), Principal (Infant and Junior Division) or Head of Foundation

• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
• Ability to relate well to children and adults including other professionals, carers and parents
• Ability to interact with children and support their involvement in physical activities, indoor and outdoor play
• Ability to demonstrate and promote good practice in line with the ethos of the school both indoors and outdoors
• Effectively communicate with adults and children
• Good verbal and non-verbal communication
• Proactive and positive team player; able to work constructively as part of team
• Enthusiasm for learning and working with children
• Able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Desirable

• Proven experience of working with children on placement or in paid employment
• Consistent approach with children and parents
• Provide consistently high levels of quality care and opportunities to children in busy environments
• Safeguarding Awareness

Qualifications:

• Willingness to participate in other development and training opportunities.
• Ideally, minimum Level 1 or 2 NVQ in Childrens Care. Learning and Development, or equivalent. The school will welcome a discussion with applicants on qualification status. Experiences and qualifications of other sorts are also extremely valued.
