Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Weekend Shift Operative on a temporary basis to prepare customer product for Heat Treatment. 24 hours per weekend (6 am - 6 pm, 6 pm - 6 am).Bodycote operates an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation.   • Preparation and Jigging of components ready for Heat Treatment.
  • Plan efficient use of jigs and fixtures. The job holder is responsible for handling often part finished and expensive components, therefore inspection, careful handling and appropriate jigging are key competencies.
  • The Shift Assistant is required to cover all areas of Production including the make up and break down of components and the shot blasting of parts prior to release.
  • Comply with all quality system requirements relevant to operation.
  • Maintain good working practises and housekeeping.
  • Qualifications, experience and skills:
  • Good general standard of education
  • Team working is essential, as is the understanding to seek advice when unsure.
  • Fork Lift Truck & Crane Licence.
  • Basic Heat Treatment Training.
  • Dermatitis Awareness.
  • SHE Training including Fire, COSHH, Risk and Manual Handling Awareness.
  • Lean and 5S Awareness Training.
