SUPPORT WORKERMACCLESFIELD - WAKING NIGHTS(2-TO-1 CARE)42 HOURS (3 X 12 HOUR NIGHTS WEEK 1 THEN 4 X 12 HOUR NIGHTS WEEK 2ROTATIONAL) I am a young man, preparing to move to my own home for the first time, in Macclesfield. I am looking for a staff team that can support me to settle into my new home and learn the skills I need to become more independent. I need a staff team who are consistent,and resilient, and have experience of working with individuals with Mild learning disability, Autism and Paranoid Schizophrenia. I need people around me that can help me develop trusting relationships as I have had a great deal of uncertainty in my life.I enjoy walking, gardening and baking, and visiting my family. I would like my staff team to support me to establish a positive active routine in my new home and engage in local community. I need support to develop skills in budgeting, cooking and cleaning,shopping, paying bills, and planning outings. And to help me understand what to expect from others.As a Support Worker within Gray Healthcare you will join a specialist team supporting an individual within their own home. We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI),Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training. In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life bybuilding strong and trusting working relationships.Our ApproachHere at Gray Healthcare we believe that no person should remain in an acute or long stay hospital environment for a day longer than is necessary.
