The Company are based in Macclesfield and provide care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses and their families. We want to make everyday count for people who are facing the toughest challenges of their lives.The IT department is responsible for managing and supporting the organisations IT systems and users. Their duty is to administer and configure systems and devices as well as efficiently troubleshooting and resolving queries and faults. As a team they developand enhance their IT services to effectively and efficiently support the work of the Company. The successful candidate will be familiar with Microsoft 365 Business, Windows Operating System and Applications, Windows Server Administration and basic networking and firewall. The IT apprentice will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the organisation and will support to the Senior IT Engineer and Analyst. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Windows Server, Windows operating system and cloudservices including Microsoft 365 environment. The role involves a wide range of IT responsibilities such as helpdesk support, general maintenance of hardware / software and setting up user accounts. DutiesTo assist with the administration, maintenance, training and first line support of IT systems Escalating IT issues to the Senior IT Engineer & Analyst where necessary Undertaking small to medium sized IT projects as instructed by the Senior IT Engineer Diagnosing and resolving technical issues Providing desktop and server support Configuring & assisting with the setup of PCs, Laptops and Printers Setup User profiles and Windows settings Installing authorised software e.g Anti-Virus Device updates and patches Adding new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements Support and assist with the maintenance of the following:Windows Operating System Microsoft 365 - Word, Excel, Teams & SharePoint EMIS Web Clinical System SMI Staff Care - Staff Rostering To assist with the data backup, recovery, and security To assist with the development Hospice IT services Fault finding and reporting on IT systems Completing internal hardware and user moves across the organisation Network patching and VoIP telephony setup Maintain the Assets database, product locations and assignments Any other duties as may reasonably be required, including general maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting.
