Engineering Director - Signal Integrity/Automation/RoboticsLocation: Macclesfield, SK10 2NZ, Cheshire.Salary: Competitive, DOE.Contract: Full time, permanent.RoBAT Ltd has a multi-disciplined team of 25 people designing and manufacturing, high value robotic machines for testing large printed circuit boards with an emphasis on signal integrity test. These complex products employ electronic hardware, software,computing, motion control, machine vision and precision mechanics. Our headquarters are in Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK but most of our sales are in China and the USA where we have our own small factories and staff employed to provide local support for the machines.We have established ourselves as the market leader in our niche market.Our products are used by some of the largest companies in the world (Cisco Systems, Nokia, Ericsson, Oracle, Huawei, Foxconn).About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy individual to join us as Engineering Director to oversee and drive forward a range of new product developments we have underway. You will have responsibility for ensuring these new product developments getto market as quickly and efficiently as possible whilst also assisting our Managing Director with business development.What we need from youYou will be a senior engineer or scientist with an honours degree in physics or engineering with experience of managing multiple projects concurrently.A background in software / test and measurement / signal integrity (TDR, VNA, BERT).Some knowledge and an interest in the fundamentals underpinning robotics, machine vision and precision motion control.Occasional world-wide travel will be necessary.If you believe you have the unusual blend of personal technical excellence, multi-disciplinary engineering leadership talent and the well-developed people skills that we seek, please click "Apply" to submit your CV with a covering letter.
