Job Description

Bruntwood own, develop, manage and maintain properties across the Northwest. Our buildings rangefrom collaborative/modern office space, lively retail spaces (Afflecks Palace, Hatch), right through to innovative Science & Technology space.Our Alderley Park site is a community in itself; a one million square foot SciTech centre that has its own pub, gym and farm. Have a good look at our website for more information.Ultimately we are looking for candidates with a passion for the Science & Technology sector - so if you have studied/have employment experience in this area then this could be an excellent fit.The Commercial Manager lets vacant office and lab space to new customers and relocates, expands and retains our existing customers.Responsibilities include:

  • Manage enquiry pipeline and undertake viewings, ensuring an excellent viewing experience
  • Drive improvements to ensure that we optimise our product
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with third parties to ensure Bruntwood are the client of choice
  • Understand all our competitors within the marketplace; their availability, rents and quality of space
  • Develop an understanding of the ecosystem of the science and technology customers within the portfolio to assist both property sales and introductions across the ecosystem
  • Attend networking events to generate awareness of our products and identify potential new customers
  • Hold a relentless desire to attract and retain customers within the portfolio with a genuine interest and willingness to fully engage with the science and tech sectors
  • Identify solutions to overcome objections and think creatively to attract occupiers to the portfolio when we may not necessarily have the immediate property solution
  • Full lifecycle account management including expansion, retraction and lease renewal conversations as well as an ability to engage on potentially challenging conversations
  • Act as a point of contact to connect the customer to appropriate business support networks as and where appropriate
What we are looking for:
  • An interest/experience in Science & Technology will be a big plus, as this will help you speak to language of our clients
  • A driven attitude with a passion for property
  • Skilled communicator with an interest in building relationship
