Job Description

  • Have you got IOA membership
  • Are you proficient with noise modelling software
  • Do you have a degree in Acoustics or closely related subject
    • As Acoustic Consultant with a background in Environmental noise and vibration. This engineering and environmental assessment firm is offering you the opportunity to work on some of the established UK projects. You will mainly be responsible for the survey assessments and noise modelling for residential and commercial projects.QualificationsQualified in a recognized technical discipline i.e. acoustics, noise control and or noise and vibration.Institute of Acoustics MembershipFull Driving LicenseExperienceRelevant Environmental Acoustic Consultancy experienceAn in depth technical knowledge of environmental acoustics in particular to EIA, and PPC Permitting.Skilled in noise survey and measurementGood communication and client liaison skillsThe ability to manage workload and supervise others.Commercially aware and team playerDuties
  • Vibration monitoring of structures (in accordance with BS4142 and PPG 24)
  • Remote noise and vibration monitoring
  • BS4142 noise assessments, applied to construction works near residential properties and proposed industrial developments
  • Monitoring noise and vibration levels
  • Use of modelling software including SoundPlan
  • Technical report writing
  • Providing noise mitigation advice
  • Undertaking calculations and predictive analysis
  • Inputting into financial management, bid proposals and budgeting
  • Traveling across the UK
