Job Description

An experienced Accountant is required by a growing charity based near Macclesfield. This great charity is looking for a confident and enthusiastic candidate with brilliant accounting/bookkeeping experience. This is a varied role, with great opportunitiesfor progression within the company.An annual salary of up to £32,000 + benefits is available depending on experience. This is an office-based position.Responsibilities

  • Prepare, post and control accounting journals
  • Assist with the preparation of Invoicing and monitoring of revenue to the budget
  • Undertake regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and sub-systems
  • Maintain Asset Registers, including acquisition, disposal, write-offs, depreciation
  • Interpretation of UK/NI accounting standards with the ability to communicate requirements to the organisation
  • Coordinate the annual internal financial policy audit and the financial year end and external audit, ensuring the organisation abides by relevant legislation and statute
  • Interpret financial information including exporting, sorting, visualising and providing insights on data
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis of financial information
Requirements
  • Qualification in accounting or relevant discipline
  • Great experience and demonstrated understanding of financial accounting
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in preparing budgets and financial reports and statements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite and familiarity with ERP and financial applications
  • Solutions orientated approach to work, adept at utilising innovative and creative methods to achieve outcomes
