We proudly serve a diverse client base across the UK and internationally, with a strongfocus on entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses that share our passion for innovation.What do the team doThe Payroll team in our Peterborough office is made up of four team members and has over 350 clients of various sizes from a variety of sectors.This role is to cover a maternity leave and will involve supporting the team with the accurate preparation and provision of client payrolls and reports.What will I be doingAs a Payroll Processor you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Setting up new payroll clients, collecting all required data and ensuring that new client procedures are adhered to.
  • Processing payroll for clients and submitting RTI reports to HMRC within required timescales.
  • Preparing and issuing payroll reports, payslips and P45/P60s.
  • Calculating and processing pension contributions.
  • Producing reports for BACS payments and to ensure that BACS payments, on behalf of clients, are processed by their due date in a controlled manner and in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Ensuring the tax year end process is planned and controlled, to adhere to the statutory reporting deadlines.
What experience do I needWhilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
  • Proven skills and experience in computerised and manual client payroll processing (minimum criteria).
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and compliance (minimum criteria).
  • Previous payroll software experience.
  • High standard of competence in processing basic payroll assignments.
  • Able to demonstrate a basic understanding of PAYE.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple workloads.
