Job Description

Production Buyer Location: LydneyPosition: Full time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 + BenefitsOur Client Our client is a Global business providing end-to-end cutting edge, innovative engineering solutions to a broad customer base.   • Developing and maintaining a base of approved suppliers
  • Draw up contingency plan so multiple options are available to ensure manufacturing is not disrupted by supplier failure
  • Working with other departments to align costs and timings
  • Research new suppliers to achieve cost savings and target new opportunities
  • Review costs to obtain savings, evaluate orders and analyse order volumes
  • Manage inventory levels based on supply strategy, goals, and related products
  • Work with registered suppliers for quotations to satisfy Project and Production departments
  • Prepare audits and work towards maintaining ISO and H&S certifications and standards
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have Buying / Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience of cost analyst work and budget management
  • Desirable of familiarisation in using ERP systems
  • Personable with impeccable telephone manners
  • Ability to work in a busy environment at a consistent pace and manage timely tasks under pressure
  • Excellent IT and computer skills, proficient across Microsoft platforms
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as on own initiative
  • Working to deadlines efficiently, with high attention to detail
