Job Description

Job AdvertDo you have experience of key packaging materials Can you demonstrate your understanding of key packaging materials Do you have a pro-active approach to stakeholder managementSustainability is key to our day to day projects and you can help make a difference to the packaging that is designed and bought for our George products. Were recruiting for a Packaging Assistant to join the team at George, this role is aligned to the sustainable sourcing, procurement & quality where you will develop your skills and methodologies, share knowledge and best practice and build solutionsto business problems. Its a fast paced role and requires both efficient, organised and agility in managing changing priorities whilst delivering great support to our teams.Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting in brand management in line with the George vision
  • Support in developing packaging in line with George Brand
  • Work cross functionally with buying, trading and supply departments
  • Supporting sustainability agenda and reduction in plastics
  • Maintaining packaging website
  • Respond to and support with internal/external queries
  • Managing and supporting re-work and re design of packaging
  • Ensuring packaging is compliant
  • Stakeholder management with multiple teams across the business
Skills RequiredAs well as an interest in sustainbility, packaging and ideally the garment retail industry you will have:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail motivation and ability to multitask
  • Understanding of packaging materials
  • Pro- active approach to supporting trading teams
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement - internally and externally
