Mechanical & Development Technician Lutterworth £28,000 - £35,000 DOE SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical & Development Technician who will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of machinery used in the manufacturing process. The position also involves the ongoing creation and design of our sockrange utilising up-to-date processes and modern materials. Objectives/ tasks: - Liaising directly with suppliers and customers. - Learn and operate production and manufacturing equipment. - Analyse machine faults, error messages and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems and faults. - Repair and fix machine problems. - Disassemble and assemble manufacturing machinery and equipment. - Clean, lubricate and adjust machinery and parts. - Examine manufacture machinery parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. - Record repairs and maintenance completed. - Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations - Work to Health and Safety regulation Competencies/ skills: - Excellent technical knowledge. - Attention to detail. - Good problem-solving skills. - Ability to work well as part of a team. - Able to work under pressure and to deadlines Qualifications/ Experience: - Experienced gained in a sock manufacturing and production setting required. - Experience of Lonati, Sangiacomo and Irmac single and double cylinder sock machines preferred.
