THE ROLEDevelopment Manager - UK Integration Layer – Fixed TermLove Fashion Love Retail Want to join one of the biggest volume fashion retailers in the UK and be part of delivering a technology enabled Omnichannel transformation programme George is starting an exciting journey with the re-engineering of its core supply chain systems to support the expansion and growth of its fashion business. We are looking for a full range of skills and experience to be part of this journey, so come and join us.The programme is expected to be for 18 months and will expand the largest European Fashion data SAP implementation to date and integrate with peripheral end to end supply chain applications. Youll work with multiple technology partners, the worlds biggest retailer Walmart and be at the heart of enabling the future of fashion retail. Youll need to be a self-starter, show great passion and depth of experience in your area and energised to meet the challenge.As a Development Manager youll work within the Integration Services team. Youll be responsible for the development of integration services enabling other IT programmes, such as George Clothing, Asda Home Shopping and To You parcel services. We currently use IBM MQ, IIB, Tivoli and DataPower, but we are reviewing our future Integration and API strategy and would love you to be part of that exciting journey.You wont have any direct reports, but youll be responsible for leading a team of third-party developers and working alongside project managers and solution architects. Youll ensure that integration services are designed, developed and implemented according to project timelines and budgets, as well as influencing the future direction of the integration landscape, and implementing best practices.Youll have a technical background to enable you to lead mixed capability teams and provide technical direction and coaching. This is not a hands-on technical role, as most of the development is delivered by our third-party vendor. Ideally, youll have previous experience of successfully managing offshore resource.ABOUT YOUYoull have a strong development background along with experience in messaging and API integrations, especially serving multiple business areas. Youll have the previous experience of estimating, task planning and prioritisation.
