Job Description

Compliance OfficerLutterworth, LeicestershireOur client is a respected and long-established contract manufacturing services partner specialising in end-to-end procurement, manufacture, and supply chain solutions, employing over 500 personnel across the group, and with a turnover in excess of £50m and rising. An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officerto be based at Lutterworth, with an excellent salary as part of the generous package on offer.Reporting to the Group Quality Manager the successful Compliance Officer will have a range of duties including establishing, managing and maintaining the company’s policies, data and rules, ensuring that they are in line with regulatory, contractual and ethical standards. They will also ensure that the business is recording all compliance data required into the Management and Quality systemsYour duties as a Compliance Officer will include:

  • Maintaining the companies legal and ethical integrity by ensuring the Business collects and records all required compliance data at a parts master level recording, but not limited to:
  • HS codes for individual piece part and assemblies
  • Country of Origin
  • Component records, including Unit of Measure (UoM), Weight, COSHH Data, RoHS, Conflict Minerals and REACh Compliance data
  • Specific Contractual compliance records i.e. Test Results, First Article Inspection reports and Yield results.
  • Ensuring the Business can report all compliance criteria to a component level against complete assemblies/sub-assemblies or piece part items, against current and future regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Working with other accountable departments to ensure compliance with company regulations in relation to Health and Safety, Import/Export, Financial and Environmental matters.
  • Establish and Maintain detailed compliance standard operating procedures (SOP’s), meeting regulatory, ethical and customer needs
  • Zero non-conformances for regulatory compliance issues
  • Establish and maintain standard report templates for Customer Product Compliance
  • All Customer Compliance requests (not product related) are completed within 3 working days
  • Establish a process that ensures all new part masters are created with the correct compliance data recorded at release into the Management system.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
  • Proven experience as a compliance officer in a manufacturing environment
  • Educated to Degree Level or Equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
  • Experience of process/internal audits
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
