Job Description

Welder/Fabricator | Suffolk | 8am-4:30pm MondayFriday | Overtime available | £11.50 per hour depending on skill levelOur client has been building a wide range of commercial vehicle bodies, in Lowestoft, for over 80 years. Their reputation has been built on supplying quality products, with a quality service whilst maintaining a competitive price.Due to continued growth, our client are looking to employ an experienced Welder/Fabricator.To succeed in this role, you will need to be experienced in a variety of practices and techniques related to welding and have an operational knowledge of manufacturing and welding applying MIG.Are you the right person for the job

  • Ability to fully read and understand engineering drawings as well as the ability to manufacture small precision parts and larger fabrications
  • You will need knowledge of operating general metal shop equipment and tools, along with familiarity in executing welding operations compliant with company and industry standards and safety policies
  • Experience in welding Mild Steel is a must and Aluminium work is a bonus but not a necessity
What will your role as a Welder/Fabricator look like
  • You will be responsible and accountable for ensuring your output complies with customer quality requirements so experience in self-inspection practices would be advantageous
