Job Description

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Technical Manager to join their team based in Lowestoft, on a full time permanent basis.As Technical Manager you will be accountable for technical support, tendering support and client interfacing on technical solutions. The role carries the following 3 primary responsibilities:

  • To provide internal technical support to site managers to resolve and improve project effectiveness.
  • To produce the highest quality Technical tender input in a timely manner and in line with tender requirements and customer expectations.
  • To identify and develop retro-fit solutions for clients and windfarm owners, liaising with the Sales & BD teams.
    • Responsibilities:
  • To support the project managers in selection and scheduling of technician in line with project requirements
  • To develop topside resource model to allow delivery of forecast
  • To support the Topside Director in the delivery of the Topside strategy and forecast
  • To personally provide high quality company boiler plate content into project documents and company processes and procedures
  • To personally provide high quality technical content into tender and proposal documents
  • Support the pre-qualifications [such as FPAL, Achilles etc.] and tender notification scheme memberships, and that where applicable the product and services categories that we have registered for are a correct reflection of our up to date Group capabilities
  • To work closely with the various Group Delivery teams to ensure that the appropriate levels of technical support are secure
  • To work closely with the Group Legal and Commercial Manager to ensure that any tenders & proposals are submitted with fully reviewed and endorsed legal and commercial terms and conditions
  • To work closely with the Group Marketing team to ensure the company’s brand guidelines and top quality graphics are applied to all tendering & proposals documents
    • Person Specification:
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical or Engineering subject
  • Health and Safety qualification
  • Relevant technical experience in Renewable wind including WTG equipment.
