Job Description

Project ManagerLocation: Lowestoft Salary: Circa £40k plus excellent benefits A local engineering company who manufactures products used in the SubSea Industry are now looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their team.The Project Manager is responsible for

  • To ensure PROJECTS are delivered & mobilized at best cost, on-time and in accordance with client and company specifications.
  • To manage projects full life cycle from cradle to grave.
  • To manage supplier costs and seek best value for project expenditure.
  • Ensure all delivery logistics are planned and to coordinate project resources to ensure efficient and effective planning and execution of production by liaising with production manager and ensuring plans are correct and robust.
  • To be the lead role in managing and overseeing all projects by understanding what needs to be done and who is doing it, stepping in to ensure correct information and costs are communicated and all deadlines are met to ensure best result for the companyand client.
  • Includes problem solving on a project/enquiry level able to provide best solutions independently
  • All relevant paperwork and certificates are issued to client both emails and hard copies with transport ie frame and rigging certs.
  • Managing the fulfillment of the technical requirement for each Project by close liaison with the technical design manager/team.
  • Liaison and working with the Sales team and where input required, assisting with the commercial requirement and ensuing all quotes and all costs for the quote maximise return for the company
  • Managing any required follow up process for bids for himself and checking the team are doing this in a timely manner.
  • When required, to provide advice and assistance for bids to ensure these are accurate and correct, and while giving the client the best solution, provide maximum profitability for the company.
Quality Manager - Person Requirements: The ideal candidate MUST come from the SubSea, Oil&Gas, Renewables or Civil Engineering Industries as a Project Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:
  • Have previous experience in SubSea, Oil&Gas, Renewables or Civil / Structural Engineering
  • Project delivery/ management experience
  • Ideally hold a Project Management Qualification such as APM, Prince2 or Similar
  • Hold a recognised qualification such as HNC, HND, BEng in Civil /structural Engineering
  • Customer/Client handling
  • People management experience
  • an read AutoCAD or similar drawings
