Job Description

Level 3 Nursery AssistantWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join our team at our small village nursery in Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the care and education of our children aged 0-5 years.Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote childrens learning and development
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, including supervising play and meal times, and ensuring childrens safety at all times
  • Maintain accurate records of childrens progress and development, and contribute to assessments and observations
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families, and provide regular updates on childrens progress and achievements
  • Contribute to the overall smooth running of the nursery and adhere to our policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our nursery and attend training and development sessions as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
  • Proven experience of working in a nursery or similar childcare setting
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in practice
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
