Job Description

Healthcare Assistant - Lowestoft Better Healthcare are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to pick up day shifts in Lowestoft, supporting an individual with complex care needs on a 1-2-1 basis.The successful applicant will be responsible for providing all levels of care to the service user, which is tailored to the individual, in a professional and compassionate manner.At Better Healthcare, we truly believe that caring is a vocation and not just a job. We understand the pressures of the role so ensure that all of our care workers are valued, respected and supported and pride ourselves on our 24/ Out-Of-Hours support team.The role:

  • Providing personal care, domestic support and running/participating in activities in a residential setting
  • Promoting choice, safety and independence
  • To support individuals to live a life as full as possible and to engage with other residents and staff members
  • Provide physical and emotional support, ensuring that respect, dignity and confidentiality is maintained at all times
    • The candidate:
  • Experience of providing care and/or support to vulnerable people is preferred but not essential
  • Possess excellent people and communication skills
  • Have a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities.
  • Be able to develop and maintain good working relationships
  • Be able to demonstrate positive personal authority.
  • Hold a full driving licence - advantageous but not essential
