Fibre Supervisor- Lowesoft / Bury st Edmunds - £40k - £45k plus van, 23 day holiday Overview:This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Fibre Supervisor to join a company, which is building an FTTP network in the Suffolk region (we have roles in Bury st Edmunds AND Lowesoft). This is a great chance to work permanently for a build partner, so if you have managed teams of fibre engineers in the field in regards to telecoms we would be very keen to speak with you.The role:In this position you will supervise the fibre teams (splicers, overhead cabling etc.) of sites located in the Suffolk region on a multi-million pound build contract by way of fibre in the ground.Reporting to a local build manager, youll have responsibility for each site including all site activities, production of workforce and overall costs of the day to day undertakings. The main aim of this role is to prevent obstruction, time delays and keep the project on budget.This a field based role where you will act as the eyes in the field to give real time feedback to the management team to ensure that completion success rate on sites being excavated and re-laid are in line with KPIs and ensure the lowest amount of inconvenience for customers.You will be responsible for ensuring all of the quality and H&S safety standards on site are adhered to at all times and a key aspect is the liaison with the gangs our in the field, making sure they have all they need for the roleThe person:A Fibre supervisor who has a strong telecoms background, as this will be a heavy hitting role from day 1.
