This is a varied and fast paced role, the likes of which don’t come up often.About Landal GreenParks UKWe have set new standards for family holidays, helping over 3 million guests a year make the most of their time together. Finding the perfect balance between getting away from it all, getting back to nature and enjoying life’s luxuries. The vacation rental market has been growing over the last few years, with people desiring the space, flexibility and uniqueness provided. The current global pandemic has only served to strengthen that trend. We’re part of Awaze, Europe’s largest manager of holiday rental properties, with 110,000 units under management in over 600 destinations in 25 countries across the continent. Our purpose is simple - to delight owners and guests. The business operates more than 25 consumer brands including Cottages.com, Novasol, Hoseasons and James Villa Holidays. More than 8 million people stayed in one of our properties in 2019.The RoleThis is a newly-created role to work as part of our newly established UK Marketing team. Reporting in to our Head of Marketing, you’ll lead the organic and paid social strategy for Landal GreenParks UK, whilst also getting involved in other key digital marketing initiatives. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes all things social media and digital marketing, and who understands the social landscape. You’ll be implementing and optimising our social media marketing across all core social platforms, but we’re not just looking for someone with creative ideas; equally important is your commercial focus, as you’ll regularly analyse results and you’ll constantly be on the lookout for new and exciting ways of improving campaign performance. What you’ll be doingWe know it sounds cliché, but it’s true when we say that no two days will be the same in this role. You will own all organic and paid social media marketing, with responsibility for strategy and implementation, with the overall aim of generating demand and acquiring new customers. You’ll have budget responsibility, so it’s key that you’re commercially focused and can justify and optimise ROAS. When we talk about social, we’re not just thinking of Facebook and Instagram; we’re looking for someone who is social media-obsessed and who is always looking for the next new and emerging platform. You’ll test new strategies, platforms formats and even ways of buying media, driving our social buying strategy and ensuring continuous improvement. You’ll also understand the mix of paid, earned and owned media, and you’ll be able to inform when and where it is appropriate to promote content.Put simply, you’ll own the social media strategy from planning and briefing in seasonal launch/promotional campaigns through to campaign analysis and presenting ideas for future improvement.Whilst social will be "your thing", you’ll also work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to optimise our paid search campaigns.Key accountabilities in this role:- This is a commercially focused role, which will see you understanding how the business as a whole is performing on a daily basis, so that you can recommend marketing actions which will see us deliver on sales targets, whilst remaining within budget.- You’ll "own the numbers", producing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports for both internal and external stakeholders, as well as presenting back to key park owners- Ensure effective reporting is set up for social channelsKey skills we need:We’re a team full of energy and with a passion for what we do, so it’s key that you’re enthusiastic, driven and keen to be part of a team. What else do you need in order to succeed in this role- You’ll have hands-on experience of working on both organic and paid social campaigns- You’re passionate about social media strategy and the ever-changing landscape- The ability to build close working relationships with the wider team- You’ve got a high attention to detail and take pride in the quality of your work- You’re passionate about travel- Ideally, you’ll have had some experience of working within leisure/travelEqually as important as all the technical "stuff", we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn, irrespective of their seniority. We don’t believe in standing still (we work in travel, after all), but instead think that everyone should be learning, all the time. Whether it’s a new design tool, an industry event or a mentoring opportunity, we will support you to grow your skillset. If you’re excited by working in a fast paced environment, are obsessed by all things customer and want to join us on our journey, we’d love to chat. What we’ll give youWe offer a competitive salary and great benefits; we’re all about holidays, so we practise what we preach and offer some great travel discounts. We offer flexible working hours and remote working, too. We’d also offer you private medical and life assurance - of course we hope you won’t need these, but want to offer you security. We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity and inclusion.
