Job Description

Bid Engineer/ Estimator Suffolk-basedExcellent PackageWe have been asked to find a top-quality Sales Estimator with experience in the engineering industry. The company is one of the worlds leading providers of specialised subsea pipeline systems. With its headquarters in Suffolk, the company has manufacturingbases around the globe.Role Summary:Using your technical and engineering knowledge and experience, you will maximise sales opportunity. You will be working primarily in the Marine Civils and Civils areas and will use the companys reactive sales database to maximise sales from these areasand increase opportunities. Develop new clients within identified strategic areas increasing turnover and profitability by achieving these objectives.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Track results of bids
  • Ensure the initial data input is correct, up-to-date and relevant.
  • Ensure the follow up action is completed and records/emails are kept and filed as per company process
  • Action follow ups appropriately and for best result ie video/phone call first, emails as second.
  • Chase intel and leads early to ensure we get the opportunity.
  • Promote new product development - liaise with technical team and maximize during client contact
  • Ensure that all documentation and analysis is in line with our company procedure and certified standards (ISO)(IIP) requirements
Qualifications and Experience required:
  • Good estimating/QS Experience in civils or civils related industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IPSinternally and with clients
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite
  • Positive approach and work ethic
  • Ideal requirement - Engineering qualification within Civils/Structural engineering.
