Job Description

  • Location: Loughton
  • Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from home)
  • Working Hours: 36 hours per week, 10am-4pm are core hours but the start and finish time is flexible outside of that. 1 hour for lunch
We are seeking aHR Officerto join our small but dynamic HR team. This role is ideal for someone who has a generalist background with 2-3 years of experience. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the Head of HR in all recruitment activities, including two main employment intakes per year.
  • Handle generalist HR duties, including policy development and project management.
  • Liaise with staff at all levels, providingadvice on HR issues.
  • Maintain a good understanding of employment law to advise staff correctly.
  • Manage performance issues and assist with Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Work within a small HR function, collaborating closely with the HR Administrator.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of HR experience, ideally with a generalist background.
  • Ability to support and advise on all aspects of HR, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
