Job Description

Weekend Personal Assistant - Female*Fixed contract to mid-September 2022.Part-time, alternate weekends, £430/weekendHours: Friday 5.30pm - Sunday 5.30pmI am a student at the Loughborough University. I am looking for an enthusiastic, cheerful, motivated Personal Assistant to join a small team to support my university life.I have Cerebral Palsy; I can walk with assistance and use a manual wheelchair. I am a very outgoing, fun-loving and social individual who enjoys nights out, events, eating out, shopping, camping and nights away. I am keen to experience the sporting aspectat Loughborough by participating in sports such as horse riding, swimming, rowing, scuba diving, wheelchair basketball, gym and am passionate about music and volunteering. With this in mind, I am very keen to become a big part of the student community, getinvolved and try out new activities. Alongside this I have done some independent speaking for various charities, raising awareness of the realities and inequalities of disability.Essential Criteria

  • Fun, sociable, energetic and outgoing with a great sense of humour
  • Whilst this is sleepover role and not a waking role, I am a night owl!
  • Motivated with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Flexible and open minded
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Practical and organised - Good time keeping is essential
  • Proven experience handling a busy schedule and strong organisational skills
  • Have basic cooking skills
  • Physically fit
Desirable skills
  • Experience using a mac as well as knowledge of Adobe, Photoshop and Premier
  • A full UK driving license
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support me to participate in all activities, including nights out, socials, sport, public speaking events and volunteering
  • Personal care will be involved however full training will be provided and no previous experience is necessary.
  • Sleep-overs (late nights)
  • Cooking/food preparation whilst on shift
  • Basic domestic tasks
  • Vacation work may be available at my family home near Winchester (all expenses covered)
