There is also the option to work from the Loughborough office, in Leicestershire, if desired.If you have the skills, experience, and drive to join our clients fun, vibrant and energetic product team as a Quality Assurance Engineer, then please upload your most recent CV today, as they would love to hear from you.Role Responsibilities- Ensure that each release of our product meets high standards of functionality, performance, security, and usability.- Happy path, exploratory, smoke, and regression testing. - Develop and maintain test management suite and test plans for both existing functionality and new features.- Test each release of our products (web portal, native iOS, and Android apps).- Identify, document, and escalate defects/bugs in an actionable and reproducible way.- Act as a point of contact between 3rd line support and development team to help triage and reproduce customer issues.- Provide feedback on the general usability and quality of our new features to our product manager and development teams.- Take ownership for improving our approach to product testing.Skills & Experience RequiredEssential- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a software development company.- Experience performing smoke, regression, and exploratory testing.- A keen eye for detail and an avid problem solver.- Ability to work cross-discipline and communicate problems with non-technical staff.- Self-motivated & organised, with the ability to estimate work complexity and time.- A solid understanding of core test principles.- Experience testing web-based products, and mobile device products (Android, iOS apps).- Experience with Jira or a similar bug tracking system.- Fluent in English, with an excellent standard of oral and written communication skills.- Can-do attitude with a desire to improve and shape our product testing.- Able to manage workload and prioritise tasks within a fast-paced environment.Desirable- A basic understanding of Automation Testing (Cypress, Postman)- Familiarity with educational products such as SchoolComms, Teachers2Parents, ParentPay, or similar.- Experience with Capita SIMS or other School Management Information Systems.- Familiarity with Linux, Amazon AWS, and Windows. - Project experience within an agile software development environment.
