Skilled Sports Turf and Grounds OperativeAbout the roleLeicester City have an exciting opportunity to join their award-winning Sports Turf and Grounds team as a skilled Sports Turf and Grounds Operative based predominantly at the Clubs new world class training facility in Seagrave, North Leicestershire.Working under the guidance of the Pitch Manager the ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on team ethics and high standards.Who Were Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar role, have an NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf (or equivalent) and PA1, PA2 and PA6 qualifications. This role is active and physical, with tasks including pedestrian and ride-onmowing, line marking, strimming, and all forms of pitch preparation and repair. Responsibilities are not limited to the Clubs pitches, with horticultural work required in the surrounding areas across the Clubs sites, along with the cleaning and maintenanceof machinery, tools and equipment.The ideal candidate will also be reliable, have the ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, and have a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, the role requires flexibility, as the Sports Turf and Grounds team may be required to work eveningsand weekends when required (5 days over 7).About The ClubKnowing some of the history of Leicester City Football Club helps you appreciate the sense of community, spirit and family for which the Foxes are renowned for.Formed in 1884, the Club has been in the Premier League since 2014 when the Foxes were promoted as Championship winners.
