Job Description

Software Quality Assurance EngineerAre you a technical wizard and problem solver looking to be part of an exciting EdTech companyWeduc brings the latest communication technology into the education market.With our recent expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic technical individual with proven software testing skills, ideally with experience in the education sector.Join our growing technology company to help us evolve and test our cutting-edgeparental engagement web platform and mobile app.We welcome applications from experienced Software Testers that are eligible to work in the UK.Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each release of our product meets high standards of functionality, performance, security, and usability.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of tests and test plans for both existing functionality and new features.
  • Test each release of our productsusing a mixture of automated test tools and manual testing.
  • Identify and document defectsin an actionable and reproducible way.
  • Act as a point of contact between our support team and development team to help triage and reproduce customer issues.
  • Provide feedback on the general usability and quality of our new features to our product manager and development teams.
  • Take ownership forimproving our approach to product testing.
    • Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within IT,ideally within the education or EdTechsector.
  • QA Software testing experience using both automated testing tools and manual testing.
  • Experience testing web-based products, Android, and Apple iOS apps.
  • Experience with Issue Tracking softwaresuch asYouTrackorJira.
  • Good standard of written communication skills.
    • Desirable
  • Experience with automated test tools. (E.g. Boozang, Postman)
  • Familiaritywith educational productssuch asFireFly,SchoolComms, Teachers2Parents, ParentPay, or similar.
  • Experience withCapitaSIMS or other SchoolManagement Information Systems.
  • Familiaritywith Linux, Amazon AWS, andWindows.
  • Project experience within an agilesoftware developmentenvironment.
  • Can-do attitudewith a desire toimproveand shape our product testing.
  • Able to manage workload andprioritisetasks within afast-paced environment.
