Job Description

Project Manager (Healthcare)Midlands (across the region) - Hybrid WorkingSalary £41,659- £47,672Full Time- 6-month Fixed Term Contract37.5 hours per weekAn exciting opportunity to join a team of Children and Young Peoples Palliative Care experts in developing a new bespoke service across the Midlands region.The aim of the project is to design and develop of a model that ensures that staff from across the region can access expert Clinical advice and support. In line with National priorities this will ensure CYP and families across the Midlands receive high qualityand equitable care when they need it most.As Project Manager you will manage an exemplar project for a 24/7 Specialist Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Children and Young Peoples Palliative Care, across the Midlands Region.The post is funded by NHSE but will be hosted by Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People based in Loughborough.Key responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with the project sponsor, clinical leads and service leads across partner organisations to support the development of a proposed model and proof of concept of the 24/7 SPOC project.
  • Be responsible for the development & delivery of the 24/7 SPOC project plan including ensuring that deadlines are met; targets are achieved; reporting requirements are fulfilled; individuals are clear on expectations; problem-solving issues that may emerge
  • Support programmes of work, identifying resources and risks, overseeing timely implementation of project objectives and adjusting plans accordingly to ensure quality and performance improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage project steering group meetings to drive forward and support effective execution of the project plan and successful achievement of targets.
Experience:
  • Project Management experience is essential
  • Healthcare experience and knowledge of palliative care preferred.
  • A PRINCE 2 qualification or similar would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Healthcare systems
  • Project planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Working across organisational boundaries
  • Self-directed working
  • Transformational change management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
