Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to join our passionate and knowledgeable Gypsum Manufacturing Technology team. This international role will see you design, procure, install and commission gypsum and other powder handling systems at our new and existing plasterboard manufacturing facilities worldwide.The Gypsum Manufacturing Technology team, based at our Technical Centre in Leicestershire, are responsible for the professional delivery of new projects and major rebuilds, operational and acquisition support and as the design authority, ensure continuous improvement of plant designs. This is a role that offers unparalleled opportunities in the fields of Process, Design and Project Engineering supporting operation across the world, working within a great multinational team and providing genuine opportunities to progress the career.What youll be doing as a Process Engineer:

  • Equipment and process designs developed to achieve desired operational performance at minimum [overall life cycle] cost
  • Support project managers/lead engineers/senior process engineers on major projects undertaken by GMT worldwide or existing operations to deliver installations on time and to budget
  • Commissioning of new equipment and processes
  • Support the implementation of EEM programme
  • Make recommendations on suppliers and specialist contractors, though formal negotiation and/or approval have to be endorsed by process area manager/project manager
    • What were looking for in a Process Engineer:
  • Preferably Mechanical Engineering Degree (but Chemical Engineering also accepted)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety management systems and standards
  • A good knowledge of AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor and ability to work on plant design using both 2D and 3D software
  • Proven record of working in a plant within an automated environment as well as time spent in a plant engineering, maintenance or design capacity.
  • An understanding of bulk solid handling and measurement or liquid storage and handling.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
