My client is a leading international business within the manufacturing industry, supplying pioneering products into the Pharmaceutical Industry.Due to the next phase of growth which was further accelerated by COVID 19, they have now engaged FRS to assist in the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join the business.This position is to be based from their UK Head Office in North Leicestershire, therefore easily commutable from across the East Midlands.Working closely with a high profile Finance Director, this position is to hold the no 2 finance position in the production of both Financial and Management Accounting activity for the group of companies.• Production of monthly management accounts for several legal entities (UK and USA), including consolidated / group accounts• Engagement with board and external stakeholders, highlighting key variances and recommendations to address the variances• Presenting and explaining financial position to board of directors and management team, making recommendations for best practices• Cash flow management and forecasting• Rolling 12 month forecast for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow• Balance sheet reconciliations• Quarterly VAT returns, P11D, ONS submissions• Overseeing and managing sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, payroll and banking administration - Making electronic payments according to business requirements• Managing a finance team of 3, including developing, mentoring, support and appraisal• Direct point of contact with external professional bodies - Auditors, HMRC and debt recovery specialists• Arranging and negotiating hire purchase agreements for capital expenditure and energy contracts• Maintaining and developing internal controls / business processes (including systems)• Product profitability analysis and creation of commercial insight to gauge viability of products• Daily use of Sage 50 and 200 Systems, along with MS Excel and Bespoke SystemsThe ideal candidate will be formally qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with practical experience. Individuals that are QBE / PQE Passed Finalist that have demonstrated experience within a similar position, would also be considered.Previous experience gained within either manufacturing / FMCG is preferred, however those working within practice looking and seeking a 1st or 2nd step into industry would also be considered, as the FD has first hand experience (Big 4 Trained ACA).In return, this position is promised to be both varied and challenging, and after an exciting period of product development they are now in a prime position to press forward.A basic salary of £40,000 - £45,000 coupled with excellent benefits and working environment await.
