Job Description

Inhalation Formulation ScientistLoughboroughOpportunity:This is an opportunity for a PhD or MSc qualified scientist from the pharmaceutical industry with significant experience in a pharmaceutical product development and/or formulation to make a fantastic contribution to the development of new inhalation products (pMDIs) and future technologies.My client is a development and manufacturing organization that specialises in drug delivery for the pharmaceutical industry. With multiple sites in the UK they are seeking an experienced formulation and development scientist, specifically within the inhalation-based drugs market.Responsibilities:

  • Joining an expanding team and working cross functionally as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will plan lead and execute multiple experimental studies, generate new intellectual property and lead formulation and product feasibility assessments.
  • You will create new products using QbD and undertake formulation related testing plus in-vitro data analysis, authoring high level technical protocols / reports and presenting technical data.
    • About You:
  • Considerable experience in an inhalation pharmaceutical formulation specific role. This must be pMDI and/or DPI related. Those without inhalation formulation knowledge will nto be considered
  • A history of innovation & research activity in new product development.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical materials science and physical characterisation techniques.
  • Experience in data analysis and data interpretation using relevant statistical software packages (Excel, Minitab etc).
  • Working experience of applying QBD principles to new product development
  • A Relevant Masters or PhD
