As a field service engineer you will be working on forklift brands such as Toyota and Caterpillar. The candidate will have full training for their first three months of work. After this they will go out on the road with another service engineer to completejobs as a pair.When on the road the field service engineer will be doing 2-5 jobs a day and they could be working in places such as Peterborough, Derby and Leicester. You are not required to travel all around the country and you are not required to stay over night.Working TimesMonday to Friday. 08:00am- 17:00pm.There is no cap on overtime.You are paid from the time you leave your house if you are leaving for an early job.DutiesServicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.Provide clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and to advise actions that maybe required to maintain the equipment.Liaison with the parts department to ensure appropriate repairs are carried out to the required time frames.Completion of documentation to company standardsWork within Health & Safety requirements at all time.Computer literateAs an experienced forklift truck service engineer you will have gained experience from a similar role and have knowledge of forklift trucks.SkillsExperience in an engineering or maintenance role is essentialExperience of hydraulics and electrical equipmentStrong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way with all levels of customersKnowledge of Loughborough roads and surounding areasTo be able to work as part of a team or under your own initiativeA full driving licenceA tool kitNet Temps supplies temporary, freelance and permanent labour to the construction, precast and manufacturing industries across the UK.
