Job Description

Control Systems EngineerProcess AutomationSalary circa £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + benefits Location: Loughborough, LeicestershireAs a Control Systems Engineer, you will be joining an advanced fully automated manufacturing processing company that has developed a strong reputation for supplying precision engineered products across a wide industrial and commercial customer base. Dueto continued growth and increased demand they need to further strengthen their maintenance engineering capability. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager you will join a busy engineering department working in this days-based position. You will providecontrol systems technical expertise to reduce cycle times, improve efficiency and reduce production down time.To be considered for this Control Systems Engineer position you must have:

  • An in-depth understanding of industrial control systems which should include electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machines and equipment.
  • A strong background in debugging, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair on complex automated PLC controlled machines.
  • Worked within a fast-paced PPM and reactive engineering maintenance environment and be familiar with modern manufacturing methods including TPM, CMMS, OEE, 5S, Condition Based Monitoring and root cause analysis.
  • A thorough appreciation of Health & Safety and risk assessments required to ensure personal safety and colleagues when undertaking work tasks.
  • Qualifications to NVQ level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering as a minimum, or a combined Mechatronic qualification ideally supported by a recognised time served apprenticeship or higher level qualifications and control systems work experience.
  • A can-do attitude with a positive and supportive work ethic, comfortable being part of a dynamic and responsive team that can deliver safe systems of work and an effective engineering maintenance function that supports the production teams.
